The Barings Analyst Program provides recent graduates with a hands-on introduction to asset management through direct exposure to the High Yield investment platform. Analysts work alongside experienced investment professionals to evaluate corporate credit opportunities, conduct fundamental research, and support portfolio management across a diversified portfolio of high yield bonds. The two-year program combines formal training, mentorship, and meaningful day-to-day responsibility,offeringAnalyststheopportunitytodevelopstrongcredit,valuation,andinvestmentanalysisskillswhilecontributingtoinvestmentdecisions.Topperformersmaybeconsideredforfull-timeopportunitiesuponcompletionoftheprogram.
Performfundamentalcreditanalysisonprospectiveandexistinghighyieldinvestments.
Buildandmaintainfinancialmodels,includingcompanyoperatingforecasts,leverageanalysis,liquidityassessments,andvaluationmodels.
Conductindustry,company,andmarketresearchtosupportinvestmentrecommendations.
Prepare investmentmemoranda,creditwrite-ups,andportfolioreviews.
Monitorportfolioholdingsandtrackcompanyperformance,earningsreleases,creditevents,andmarketdevelopments.
Supportduediligenceeffortsthroughanalysisoffinancialstatements,managementpresentations,andthird-partyresearch.
Collaboratewithportfoliomanagers,analysts,traders,andotherinvestmentprofessionalsacrosstheGlobalHighYieldplatform.
Participateintraining,mentorship,networking,andprofessionaldevelopmentopportunities.
Bachelor'sorone-yearmaster'sdegreewithanticipatedcompletioninSpring2027.
PreferredmajorsincludeFinance,Accounting,Economics,Mathematics,Statistics,orotherquantitativedisciplines.
MinimumcumulativeGPAof3.0.
Prior internship experience in asset management, investment banking, equityresearch,creditanalysis,corporatefinance,commercialbanking,orarelatedfieldispreferred.
Stronganalytical,quantitative,andproblem-solvingskills.
Demonstratedinterestinpublicmarkets,corporatecredit,andinvesting.
Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
Abilitytothriveinacollaborative,fast-pacedinvestmentenvironment.
ProficiencywithMicrosoftOfficeSuite,particularlyExcelandPowerPoint.
