In this hands-on laboratory role, you will build your technical expertise while contributing to a high-performing team dedicated to delivering safe, effective therapies to patients around the world.Location: This position will be located in Durham, NC and will be an onsite role.Novartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role: please only apply if this location is accessible for you.Key Responsibilities:Execute routine and non-routine analysis for cGMP release and characterization testingPerform analytical testing with a strong focus on HPLC and UPLC, alongside AUC, SEC, CE, and Western BlotConduct compendial assays including pH, conductivity, and osmolality testingSupport method verifications and transfers for multiple projectsPerform sampling of incoming materials for use in manufacturing and productionInitiate and maintain documentation including LIMS entries, SOPs, and assay formsMaintain laboratory equipment, logbooks, and ensure compliance with safety standardsInitiate and support laboratory investigations and quality events with guidanceAssist in analytical and instrument troubleshooting through assay executionApply lean lab and six sigma concepts to support continuous improvement initiativesEssential Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific disciplineHands-on experience or exposure to HPLC and/or UPLC analytical techniquesAbility to learn and apply professional concepts in a laboratory environmentUnderstanding of and ability to follow company policies and procedures to resolve routine issuesStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a teamAbility to follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracy in a structured work environmentDesirable Requirements:Experience with method validation activities in a regulated laboratory environmentExperience supporting or executing method transfersNovartis Compensation and Benefit Summary:The salary for this position is expected to range between $32.12 and $59.62 per hourThe final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
