Primary Responsibilities
The Supplier Logistics Analyst is responsible for supporting consolidation efforts, developing, and maintaining financial metrics reporting, and KeHE and non-KeHE shipments to drive speed to shelf and reduce lead time. Essential Functions
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for achievement of period, quarterly and annual consolidation goals by planning the transportation of products from suppliers to the end distribution center using the most cost-effective methods.
Maintain inventory levels and tracking for consolidation cross dock facilities and provide highly analytical weekly and monthly reporting.
Ability to identify optimal freight solutions to achieve and surpass desired results in driving consolidation metrics such as on-time delivery, truck utilization, cost per pound and saving initiatives.
Collaborate with carrier management, supply chain, sales, and other necessary departments to improve cross dock profitability, while achieving on time delivery, minimizing spoils, and turning the inventory as efficiently as possible.
Manage day-to-day activities for truck loads and carriers:
Track and trace loads, communicate load changes and or issues, maintain load visibility from origin to destination, and assist with issue resolution.
Assist carriers in resolving issues regarding loading, pickup appointments, and communication to appropriate parties, as necessary.
Assemble and distribute outbound documentation in advance, print invoices, record and collate COD information on bills of lading, drivers manifest, logs, and inspection sheets.
Maintain accurate electronic records of relevant shipping and receiving documentation using the internal warehouse management system.
Ability to track and provide live updates of all shipments.
Provide clerical assistance, as needed.
Participate in account and customer related programs and special projects to drive efficiency and improvement efforts.
Partner with 3rd party carriers as well as KeHE fleet department to drive out waste and achieve appropriate service levels.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
