Duties:
- 50% Research and stay abreast of all information that may impact the lifecycle of any supported technology or product. Reviews and recommends all new hardware and software that applies to supported technologies in the environment. Participates in the analysis of the requirements for the enterprise and applying emerging technologies to support long-term business objectives. Assists with various related projects.
- 40% Responsible for testing, product review and research as well as documentation efforts. Ensures complete review of products that can fulfill the customer's business needs and that mitigate risks associated with security vulnerabilities.
- 10% Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and open communication with vendors, operations, architecture, and management staff.
Skills:
- Required Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of a variety of information technology products and solutions. Strong research, customer service, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills. Strong attention to detail. Good judgment. Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the IT organization.
- Required Software and Other Tools: Microsoft Office. Software and tools will vary based on the technologies supported.
- Work Environment: Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.
Required Work Experience: 2 Years of specific knowledge of the technology(s) or product(s) to be supported including 1 year directly supporting the technology(s) or product(s).
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree.
