We're looking for an experienced Analytical Chemist with strong expertise in power transformer insulating oil analysis to join our team. In this highly visible role, you'll leverage advanced laboratory testing, insightful data interpretation, and close technical collaboration to support the performance and longevity of high‑voltage equipment. Your deep understanding of oil chemistry, transformer materials, and diagnostic techniques will directly influence quality, safety, and continuous improvement across our operations. How You'll Make an ImpactPerform advanced laboratory testing on transformer insulating oils and materials (e.g., DGA, moisture, dielectric properties, DP, oil compatibility) to assess asset conditionAnalyze and interpret test results to support condition assessments, corrective actions, and root cause investigationsDevelop, maintain, and continuously improve laboratory procedures in compliance with ASTM, IEEE, and IEC standardsCalibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accurate, reliable, and repeatable dataCollaborate with field engineers, asset managers, and cross‑functional teams to correlate laboratory and operational data and support product and technology developmentPrepare clear technical reports, maintain accurate documentation, and promote a strong culture of laboratory safety and quality What You BringBachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry or a related field with 5+ years of experience in transformer oil analysis and diagnostics within the power transformer industryStrong understanding of insulating oil properties, aging, and degradation mechanismsProficiency with laboratory instrumentation and data analysis toolsKnowledge of applicable standards (ASTM D3612, IEEE C57.104/C57.130, IEC 60567)Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skillsAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a strong safety focusProficiency in English (written and verbal).If not already located in Charlotte, NC, the selected candidate must be willing to relocate (relocation assistance provided)Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current employer-sponsored work authorization.
