Client Overview:
Our client is a leading e-commerce retailer of area rugs and home decor, known for offering stylish, budget-friendly pieces. They are looking to hire an Analytics/Data Engineer to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$130k - $140k Annually

Position Overview:
The Analytics/Data Engineer will help build and scale analytics and data engineering capabilities in Snowflake. The Analytics/Data Engineer will focus on developing reliable data models and semantic layers, supporting governance initiatives, and enabling business intelligence/reporting (Sigma Computing) in a hybrid NYC environment.

Responsibilities of the Analytics/Data Engineer:
  • As the Analytics/Data Engineer, build and maintain analytics/data engineering solutions within Snowflake.
  • Develop and manage data transformations and models using dbt (Data Build Tool).
  • Support and contribute to data governance initiatives (standards, definitions, quality, access).
  • Build and manage semantic layers to ensure consistent metrics and reporting.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver BI/analytics solutions (including Sigma Computing).
  • Apply strong data warehousing best practices to ensure scalable, reliable datasets.
Required Experience/Skills for the Analytics/Data Engineer:
  • 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience (required for the Analytics/Data Engineer).
  • Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool).
  • 2+ years of relevant analytics engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting data governance initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience building/managing semantic layers.
  • Sigma Computing / BI expertise.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Analytics/Data Engineer:
  • E-commerce experience is a plus.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
