Analyzer & Measurement Maintenance Planner
Location: Sabine Pass, TX (Onsite)
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00.00/hr. DOE
Duration: 12-Month Contract with Possible Extension (Long Term Role)
Schedule: M-F, 6am - 3:30pm; 40 hours/week
We are seeking an experienced
Analyzer & Measurement Maintenance Planner professional to support maintenance planning, scheduling, reliability, and regulatory compliance activities within a PHMSA-regulated facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA, maintenance planning methodologies, analyzer and measurement equipment, and coordinating maintenance activities across Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
This position is responsible for developing and managing maintenance plans for all analyzer and measurement equipment, ensuring work is scheduled and executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
This is a DOT-covered position (PHMSA).
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis using SAP S/4HANA.
- Develop long-term maintenance strategies and annual work plans.
- Analyze SAP-generated reports to optimize maintenance scheduling based on technician availability, equipment readiness, and production requirements.
- Plan and prioritize both preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
- Create and maintain job plans for inspection, testing, repair, and replacement activities.
- Develop new maintenance plans when equipment requires increased maintenance frequency.
- Ensure all completed work orders are properly documented and closed within required timeframes.
Technical Leadership
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations, Engineering, Inspection, and Contractor teams.
- Define work methods, required resources, materials, tools, and execution sequences.
- Maintain asset records, equipment histories, certifications, and maintenance documentation.
- Ensure spare parts, materials, and services are identified and available for maintenance execution.
- Track maintenance performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote safe work practices and efficient maintenance execution.
Reliability & Optimization
- Drive equipment reliability improvement programs.
- Analyze equipment failure data and share findings with Engineering teams.
- Optimize calibration, inspection, and testing intervals using historical performance data.
- Ensure compliance with site standards, maintenance best practices, and industry codes.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, API, ASME, PHMSA, and local regulations.
- Ensure accurate maintenance records and audit-ready documentation.
- Prepare and review inspection, certification, and maintenance reports.
- Ensure all work orders are properly documented and compliant.
Training & Development
- Mentor maintenance technicians and engineering personnel on planning and maintenance best practices.
- Conduct maintenance and safety-related training sessions.
- Support development of competency matrices and workforce development initiatives.
Innovation & Technology
- Support implementation of digital tools for equipment health monitoring.
- Drive standardization of analyzer and measurement equipment data and associated maintenance practices.
- Participate in maintenance strategy reviews and budget planning activities.
Required Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical Degree or related field preferred.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant maintenance planning, scheduling, or reliability experience.
- Experience in LNG, pipeline, petrochemical, terminal, refinery, or similar industrial environments preferred.
- Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA
- Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution processes.
- Strong understanding of analyzer and measurement equipment maintenance.
- Experience creating and managing preventive maintenance programs.
- Ability to analyze maintenance data and implement reliability improvements.
- Strong knowledge of work management systems and maintenance best practices.
- Experience collaborating with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
- Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Experience planning small- to medium-scale maintenance projects.
- Experience estimating and planning work involving:
- Scaffolding
- Insulation
- Painting
- Welding and fabrication
- Rigging and lifting
- Heavy equipment operations
- Machining activities
- Experience working within a PHMSA-regulated pipeline facility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Results-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Current TWIC Card in good standing.
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Ability to meet all requirements for a DOT-covered PHMSA position.
