Position Overview
\n
We are seeking an experienced Android Application Test Engineer to validate and improve Android applications within an automotive infotainment environment. This role requires extensive Python test automation experience, hands-on testing of physical automotive systems, and close collaboration with software developers.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites using Python.

- Integrate incoming software changes into existing test frameworks and workflows.
- \n
- Validate Android applications and features within an automotive infotainment environment.
- \n
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and exploratory testing.
- \n
- Conduct hands-on testing and debugging of system-level software using physical automotive assets, test benches, and related hardware.
- \n
- Analyze test results, system logs, application logs, and diagnostic data to identify root causes.
- \n
- Document, track, and clearly communicate software defects to development teams.
- \n
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and improve overall software quality.
- \n
- Support the continuous improvement of test coverage, automation processes, and release readiness.

Required Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Extensive professional experience with Python, particularly for test automation.
- \n
- Strong experience testing Android applications or Android-based systems.
- \n
- Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites.
- \n
- Hands-on experience with system-level software testing and debugging.
- \n
- Experience analyzing logs, troubleshooting failures, and performing root-cause analysis.
- \n
- Familiarity with software development, integration, and defect-management workflows.
- \n
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- \n
- Ability to work on-site regularly and perform hands-on testing using physical equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
\n

- Experience testing automotive infotainment, connected-vehicle, or embedded automotive systems.
- \n
- Knowledge of Android Automotive OS, Android frameworks, ADB, Logcat, and related debugging tools.
- \n
- Experience with embedded Linux, vehicle test benches, or hardware-in-the-loop environments.
- \n
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN.
- \n
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automated test integration.
- \n
- Familiarity with Git, Jira, Jenkins, or similar development and testing tools.

Work Arrangement
\n

- Four-day return-to-office policy.
- \n
- Five days on-site may frequently be required due to the hands-on nature of the work.

Compensation
\n
The anticipated compensation range for this position is $120,000–$140,000 USD annually. Actual compensation will depend on the candidate’s relevant experience, technical expertise, qualifications, and overall suitability for the position.
