Description
Pay Rate: $20 per hour - $28 per hour
Summary:
40hr Evenings, 3:00p - 11:30p.
Responsibilities:
Assist the anesthesia team prior to, during, and following patient procedures in various Operating rooms.
Maintain and restock anesthesia supplies and equipment in the operating room.
Check and supply anesthesia carts and machines, replace anesthesia gas tanks, and disinfect machines and supply carts.
Assist in the preparation of complex equipment and supplies for hemodynamic monitoring.
Ensure monitoring equipment and supplies are ready and troubleshoot anesthesia machines.
Assist in positioning patients for procedures and during intubating and extubating procedures.
Restock used supplies during surgery and dispose of contaminated materials.
Clean anesthesia equipment and package used materials post-procedure.
Inventory and order anesthesia supplies.
Assist during emergencies and code blue procedures.
Maintain IV solution/supplies and disinfect bronchoscopes.
Ensure biohazard material is handled and disposed of properly.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Graduate of anesthesia technology program.
Current BLS Certification required.
Anesthesia Technician Certification required.
Minimum one year of Anesthesia Tech experience in a multi-disciplined OR in an acute care hospital setting preferred OR one year in a Critical Care or Stepdown unit as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
