Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to patients prior to, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and responsiveness throughout their procedure.
• Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to develop anesthetic plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide pre-operative assessments and consultations to discuss risks and benefits of anesthesia options with patients.
• Respond promptly to any complications or medical emergencies during surgery or recovery.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records regarding anesthesia and sedation protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about anesthesia procedures and aftercare to alleviate concerns and answer questions.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency program.
• Board certification in anesthesiology or eligibility for certification.
• Valid medical license to practice in the state GA.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
• Commitment to ongoing education and staying current with advancements in anesthesiology.
