Position Overview

CLF Consultants LLC seeks a New York-licensed, ACLS-certified Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia services for electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) at Pilgrim Psychiatric Center, a New York State Office of Mental Health facility in Brentwood, New York. This is a flexible supplemental opportunity ideal for physicians maintaining an existing practice.

This is a part-time, on-site engagement of approximately two mornings per week, providing pre-anesthesia evaluation, anesthesia and sedation for ECT procedures, and post-procedure monitoring and recovery, in coordination with an established facility ECT and psychiatry team. The selected physician must hold an active New York medical license and be available to begin on or about September 1, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia and sedation for electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) procedures
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and determine anesthetic suitability for each patient
  • Manage airway, sedation, and hemodynamic stability throughout each procedure
  • Monitor patients during and after ECT and manage post-procedure recovery
  • Coordinate with the psychiatry and ECT treatment team on scheduling and patient care
  • Respond to anesthesia-related emergencies using ACLS protocols
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and complete anesthesia records and required documentation
  • Comply with facility, State, and CMS clinical and safety standards

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school with a completed anesthesiology residency
  • Active New York State medical license in good standing
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology (ABA)
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Active DEA registration
  • Availability to begin on or about September 1, 2026, and to pass facility background screening
