Description Specialization: Anesthesiology $ Salary Estimate: $255,000 - $315,000 / year Job Summary: HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is looking for a dynamic Chief CRNA to lead anesthesia services at HCA Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA. This role offers the opportunity to combine clinical expertise with leadership, guiding a team committed to outstanding patient outcomes and service excellence. Partnering with the Vice Chief CRNA, you will provide leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight for the anesthesia department. You will play an integral role in advancing organizational priorities, supporting team development, and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care across the facility. Responsibilities: Develop continuous performance improvement and risk management programs. Ensure compliance with licensure, certification, and credentialing requirements. Lead educational initiatives to meet APP continuing education needs. Maintain efficient perioperative workflow and oversee scheduling. Collaborate with leadership to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work environment. Oversee recruitment efforts for quality APPs in collaboration with recruitment teams. Supervise and evaluate staff APPs, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Foster strong communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university and 3 or more years of managerial experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful completion of an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia Program. Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the AANA/NBCRNA. Active licensure with current ACLS, BLS certification. Must possess strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Highlights: Anesthesia Care Team Model of 9 General Anesthesiologists, 4 CV Anesthesiologists and 29 CRNAs covering 20 sites of service on average. Diverse mix of cases including Trauma, Cardiac, Vascular, Thoracic, OB, General, Orthopedics, Urology, GYN, GI and Pediatrics. Annual surgical volume 18,000 cases. 500 labor epidurals on average. Current schedule includes 8/10/12 hour shifts. Post call day off. Weekday and weekend call shared equally. Incentive and Benefits Package: W2, employed position with HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services. Tiered comp based on years of experience plus skill stipends. Start date (commencement bonus) up to $75,000. Relocation assistance up to $10,000. Immediate 8 weeks' time off (no accrual period) and $2500 CME stipend.
