Required Skills:
- Active California Medical License and CA DEA registration
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency)
- Proven expertise in anesthesia with current, comprehensive clinical experience
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to handle less critical cases with professionalism and efficiency
- Flexibility to work a Monday-Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with potential for one month on, one month off or more than 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off shifts
- No call responsibilities required
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with anesthesia in outpatient or outpatient surgery centers
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and anesthesia documentation systems
- Prior experience working in a locum or temporary capacity
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, BLS, or PALS
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO)
- Fellowship training in anesthesiology preferred
- Minimum of 2 years current hospital-based clinical practice in anesthesiology
- Recent case logs demonstrating versatility across various surgical procedures
Other Requirements:
- Valid licensure and certification for California practice
- Willingness to comply with privileging requirements, including providing an updated CV and relevant documentation
- Travel reimbursements are available for airport parking and pre-approved rental car policies; cost of mileage from home to airport and local transportation at the destination are not reimbursed
- Ability to coordinate with the medical director for pre-approval of overtime and other administrative considerations
Compensation:
Hourly pay rate of $1.00, with weekly direct deposit pay schedule.
