The Guthrie Clinic's Robert Packer Hospital anesthesiology residency program seeks a physician-scientist anesthesiologist to oversee the clinical research activities of residents, medical students, and other faculty.
Ideally this candidate will either hold a PhD or be a recipient of a research grant.
The Director will partner with the Guthrie Foundation, the research division of the Guthrie Clinic.
The Foundation includes research coordinators and statisticians to assist with IRB submissions, obtaining consents, and analyzing data.
Guthrie's Epic electronic health record and reporting infrastructure facilitates clinical retrospective reviews.
The Director will help residents and students plan research projects and coordinate timelines for poster and presentation submissions to conferences.
The Director will also influence the submission of articles to publications, including anesthesiology specialty journals and The Guthrie Journal.
This anesthesiologist will also be involved with clinical teaching in the operating room several days per week.

$575K total compensation
$25K starting bonus and $25K retention bonus each of following 3 years
