Overview
Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in Central New York is seeking full-time BC/BE Anesthesiologists. Network surgical locations include Cooperstown, Oneonta, Cobleskill and Little Falls with flexible staffing options to accommodate anesthesiologists living in the Albany, Binghamton, Utica and Syracuse regions.
$600K Compensation, $200K SOB, $60K Residency Stipend, 10 weeks PTO of which up to two weeks can be converted to CME time with a $4K allowance for CME expenses, Employer Supported Retirement Plan.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Academic Excellence: Join Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University.
- Collaborative Practice: Work with a team of 13 physicians and 25 CRNAs in a supportive medical direction model with opportunities for solo cases.
- Diverse & High-Quality Care: Provide full-spectrum anesthesia services to a diverse patient population with a strong focus on safety and quality (staffing ratios 1:2 / 1:3).
- Life-Work Balance: Manage a reasonable call schedule (3–4 per month) with post-call day off and nocturnist support to limit overnight shifts.
- Teaching & Growth: Opportunities to teach SRNAs, medical students, and residents, with access to mentoring and leadership development.
- Flexible Locations: Practice across Cooperstown, Oneonta, Cobleskill, and Little Falls, with flexibility for anesthesiologists living in Albany, Binghamton, Utica, or Syracuse.

Requirements
- BC/BE in Anesthesiology
- Completion of an Anesthesiology Residency
- New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS certification required
- Strong teamwork, patient-centered approach, and ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary academic setting.
Benefits
Compensation
- Base Salary: $600,000
- This compensation represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation rate at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $200,000- 54 month retention commitment
- Residency Stipend: Up to $60,000 available up to 18 months prior to graduation
