Animal Adoption Coordinator

Position Summary

The Animal Adoption Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all adoption and rescue-related functions at the animal shelter. Primary duties include oversight of adoption and rescue processes on all platforms - email phone and in person oversight assistance with all guest services assistance in daily animal care operations communication assistance with supporting veterinarians record keeping assistance with animal intake and assistance with volunteer communication and oversight. Difficult problems are referred to a supervisor. Courtesy tact and firmness are required in dealing with the general public in a variety of situations some of which may be stressful. General supervision is received from a Shelter Supervisor who evaluates performance based on observation and discussions concerning the effectiveness of carrying out instructions
