Piper Companies is currently looking for an experienced Animal Care Technician in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PA) to work with a leading Philadelphia academic institution.
Responsibilities for the Animal Care Technician include:
- Perform daily Animal husbandry duties such as health check, cage changing, and waste disposal
- Oversee laboratory sanitation and environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature
- Assist in basic veterinary care for animals housed within the vivarium
- Oversee vivarium supplies and resources
- Provide support to rodent breeding colonies
- Maintain logs and research documentation in accordance with company standards
Qualifications for the Animal Care Technician include:
- A minimum of 1 year of animal husbandry
- Technical capabilities with animal breeding, tissue sampling, harvesting, collection, and rodent mouse models
- HS Diploma or BS in biology related field required
Compensation for the Animal Care Technician include:
- Salary Range is dependent upon experience
