Starting Pay: $15.30 per hour
Summary
This position performs all aspects of humane animal care duties to ensure animal safety and well-being, manages kennel space, and provides quality customer service by providing the public with assistance and accurate information regarding Animal Management & Welfare policies, programs and procedures. This position will be required to work shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather as well as overtime as necessary by the department. This position is considered weather essential personnel.

Licenses/Certification Required Qualifications
Must have or be able to obtain pre-exposure rabies vaccinations within six (6) months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
The City may consider all related education and/or experience in determining an applicant's minimum qualifications and starting salary.
Valid TX Drivers License is preferred.
Animal services work experience is preferred.
Physical Demands
The employee is also required to climb, crawl, crouch, feel, finger, grasp, handle, pull, push, reach, speak, stand, stoop, talk, see, and walk. Also requires the ability to make rational decisions and perform repetitive motions. Work is performed outside the majority of the day and is required to work in all weather conditions.
