Job Duties: Responsible for developing, evaluating, and managing animal health activities for beef cattle operations. Specific duties include: (1) monitoring herd health and implementing programs to improve animal health care; (2) monitoring cows for signs of illness and disease; (3) assisting in diagnosis and treatment of sick cows, including routine vaccinations and preventive management; and (4) recommending methods to improve overall nutrition, feeding, and quality control protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Engineering or related, and one year of livestock production experience, including specific experience in herd healthcare.
ANNUAL SALARY: Salary: $56285-$57,000. Benefits include health, dental, vision & life insurance; PTO & ESST; MN Paid Family & Medical Leave; HSA w/ employer match; short term disability; retirement plan.
