Summary Job Title: Antenna Design Engineering Team LeadWork Type: Full Time, PermanentReport to: Senior Product Engineering ManagerSalary Range: CAN$100,000.00 – CAN$120,000.00Location: Aurora, OntarioWhat You'll Do Oversee the day‑to‑day activities of the Antenna engineering technician team to ensure smooth operation.Lead teams to execute corporate objectives, drive team KPIs, and report performance.Provide technical support to internal and external customers.Manage collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.Identify gaps in existing processes and lead improvement initiatives.Develop templates and standard procedures to ensure consistent, efficient, high‑quality work.Manage a group of Antenna Engineering technician resources handling NPR/ECR/NCMR/RMA and QA support requests.Coach and guide team members on antenna design methodology.Train and develop team members' skill sets.Dedicate to continuous improvement while maintaining team spirit.Perform computer‑aided design and analysis of innovative antennas.Provide antenna specifications, design requirements, and simulations.Offer R&D technical support to the antenna engineer manager.Develop and test antenna prototypes in the lab and field.Conduct near‑ and far‑field testing of antennas in low‑band, VHF, UHF, and 5G/6G mobile wireless communication systems.Perform other related duties as assigned.What You'll Bring Master's degree in electrical engineering.5+ years of experience in antenna design and development is preferred.Hands‑on experience in: Passive/Active antenna (70MHz – mmWave) design and development.Massive MIMO, beamforming/beam‑steering, low‑PIM design methodologies.Wireless communications technologies, including P25, Tetra, DMR, 4G, 5G, and Satcom systems.Familiarity with RF design and testing software and hardware, including HFSS, CST, ADS, Planet, Atoll, iBwave, VNA, spectrum analyzer, power meter, TDR tester, etc.Familiarity with antenna parts and materials selection, including PCB types, cable types, radome types.Well‑versed in BTS and mobile, and embedded antenna standards, including IEC, EN, NFPA, etc.Experience taking designs from concept through mass production.Coaches, empowers, and inspires while driving accountability.Collaborator who excels at giving and receiving feedback.Exceptional listening, written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.Understanding of current and future trends in RF communications technologies.Curious, creative thinker and problem‑solver.Passionate about world‑class product design and user experience.Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented to meet program schedule commitments.Ability to deal with ambiguity and handle pressure.Effective multitasking.What We Offer Paid vacation days.Paid sick days.Employer comprehensive health benefits package.RRSP program.Job‑related career development fund for designations and accreditations.Employee Referral Program.Employee Award Program.Plenty of on‑site parking and a 5‑minute walk to GO Train station.Office located in a serene green area in Aurora, ON.Employee events and initiatives.Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, i.e., they must be a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident, or a foreign national holding a valid Work Permit or specific authorization such as a study permit with off‑campus work permission, a temporary resident permit, or be part of special programs.
