    Job Title: Anticipated 1:1 Paraprofessional - Elementary (K-5) Full-Time

    Start Date: September 1, 2026

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled paraprofessional to support students within a specialized multigrade elementary Language Learning Disabilities (LLD) classroom. This program serves students with learning, behavioral, and communication needs in a public school setting. The ideal candidate will provide individualized support to help students access instruction, build communication skills, and maintain a safe, structured learning environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct 1:1 support to students with behavioral and language needs
    • Implement behavior support plans and follow guidance from the classroom teacher and related service providers
    • Support communication using AAC, visual supports, and/or other language facilitation strategies
    • Assist students when participating in academic, social, and daily living activities
    • Help maintain a safe and positive classroom environment
    • Collect data on student behavior and progress as directed
    • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff
    • Assist with transitions, routines, and de-escalation strategies as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Experience working with children with autism and/or significant behavioral needs preferred
    • Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies (e.g., ABA principles, de-escalation techniques)
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Patience, consistency, and a proactive approach to support
