The Principal will collaborate with the Board of Education, Superintendent of Schools, Treasurer of Schools, staff, students, families, and community members to further academic excellence and operational effectiveness.

Position Responsibilities
In accordance with Board policy, and established administrative practices, the HS/MS Principal shall:
- Establish and enforce school policies, address student behavior concerns, promote student well-being, and maintain a safe and inclusive school climate.
- Oversee curriculum implementation, support effective teaching practices, monitor student achievement, and promote continuous academic improvement.
- Recruit, evaluate, mentor, and support teachers and staff while fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Manage daily school operations, scheduling, facilities, transportation coordination, and compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop and oversee the school budget, allocate resources effectively, and ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Build strong relationships with parents, community organizations, and stakeholders to support student success and school initiatives.
- Lead school improvement efforts, analyze data to inform decisions, set goals, and implement programs that enhance student outcomes.
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and respond effectively to safety, security, and crisis situations.
- Represent the district in professional, civic, and community activities.

Qualifications
Required:
- Valid Ohio Principal License or Certificate, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
- Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field.
- Demonstrated successful leadership experience in K-12 education.
- Knowledge of Ohio school law, finance, and accountability systems.
- Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Preferred:
- Prior experience as Principal or Assistant Principal.
- Experience working in a K-12 public school setting similar to Leipsic (small, rural district).
- Proven record of instructional leadership, fiscal management, and community engagement.

Contract & Compensation
- Employment under a multi-year contract in accordance with Ohio law anticipated.
- Competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Start date to be determined by mutual agreement with the Board of Education.
