Duties

Coal City High School has the following anticipated opening for the 2026-2027 school year:

Auditorium Manager

To perform all duties in a professional, accurate and timely manner.

1. Oversee and provide technical staff for the use of fly, sets, lighting and sound equipment for all auditorium events.

2. Collaborate with appropriate school district personnel and external groups to facilitate all (professional, community and school district) events held in the auditorium.

3. Provides support for productions that occur in other District locations as needed.

4. Responsible for performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of technical equipment housed in the auditorium.

5. Report necessary & timely maintenance issues to the Business Office.

6. Make recommendations for necessary equipment upgrades, facility improvements and performance budget estimates to the Business Office.

7. Oversee scheduling and training of student technicians.

8. Changing over the auditorium after each use to prepare for the next use.

9. Other duties as assigned by Superintendent.

Hourly wage - $20 (up to 40 hours a week. Any Overtime has to be approved by the Superintendent or Designee) Work schedule varies depending on the needs of the auditorium.
