Anticipated Part Time Special Education Teacher
Sandyston-Walpack Consolidated School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Part Time Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have Orton Gillingham Certification and a solid commitment to meeting the unique needs of students with disabilities to create a supportive and engaging classroom environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs in an in-class resource setting
Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
Provide small group and one-on-one instruction as needed
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to address student needs and progress
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of Handicap Certification. Certification, CEAS, or CE required.
Experience working with elementary-aged students with disabilities, preferred
Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with diverse learning needs
SALARY RANGE: $44,660 - $47,752 prorated
