    Duties

    Anticipated School Psychologist-Preschool 26-27 School Year

    Reports To: Assistant Principal of Student Services

    Essential Job Functions:

    • The ability to work collaboratively with others to optimize student achievement.
    • A willingness to participate in staff development opportunities.
    • A strong commitment to professional excellence.

    A. Systems Support

    • Supporting efforts to build a responsive system through MTSS
    • Participating in building based and district level MTSS activities

    B. Assessment

    • Engaging in Data Day activities as part of the a larger MTSS system
    • Selecting appropriate assessment instruments
    • Conducting assessments appropriately
    • Interpreting assessment information accurately
    • Screening/referral/evaluation process
    • Reporting assessment data in a clear and concise manner
    • Providing classroom observations
    • Conducting screenings

    C. Designing Individualized Educational Programs

    • Developing individualized goals and objectives based on assessment results providing long-range student planning
    • Fully participating in the IEP process

    D. Provision of Direct Services

    • Providing consultation and training to staff and parents as needed
    • Providing training for parents and staff as needed
    • Participating in the development and implementation of mental health preventative strategies
    • Demonstrating an understanding of individual and group counseling techniques

    E. Case Management

    • Participating with the building Student Services Team
    • Monitoring implementation of student I.E.P.s
    • Managing and coordinating required paperwork

    Qualifications:

    • Master''s level school psychologist
    • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with endorsement in School Psychology (PreK-Age 21)
    • Previous experience preferred

    Working Conditions:

    Full-time position (1.0 FTE) starting August 2026 through June 2027.

    FLSA Status: Exempt
