The Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) teacher provides specially designed instruction within the general education classroom to support students with disabilities in accessing grade-level curriculum. Partnering closely with the general education teacher, the ICT teacher co-plans, co-instructs, and co-assesses to deliver differentiated, inclusive, and standards-aligned learning experiences. This role includes monitoring IEP goals, implementing accommodations and modifications, using data to guide instruction, and fostering a supportive, collaborative classroom environment that meets the academic and social-emotional needs of all learners at the elementary school level
Performance Responsibilities
The Teacher shall:
Instruction & Curriculum
Plan and deliver standards-based instruction aligned with district curriculum
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Use a variety of instructional strategies to actively engage students
Integrate technology and instructional resources effectively
Assessment & Data
Design and implement formative and summative assessments
Analyze student data to inform instruction and improve outcomes
Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and families
Classroom Environment
Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom climate
Promote positive student behavior and social-emotional growth
Implement district-approved behavior and safety procedures
Collaboration & Communication
Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), grade-level, or department meetings
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
Collaborate with support staff, specialists, and administrators
Professional Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records as required by district and state guidelines
Participate in professional development activities
Comply with district policies, procedures, and contractual obligations
Perform other duties as assigned by administration
Terms of Employment
Salary, teaching schedule, and benefits in accordance with the EITA contract
Appointment subject to Board of Education approval
Evaluation
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with district procedures, New York State regulations, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
