Position Summary:

Lawrence Early Family ED is seeking exceptional STEM teachers to join our team who possess a growth mindset, value collaboration and continuous feedback, are passionate about their content, and have an unwavering belief that all students are capable of meeting rigorous academic expectations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement hands-on, inquiry-based STEM lessons aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
• Use data to drive instruction, monitor student progress, and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Integrate technology and real-world applications to deepen student understanding and engagement
• Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and share best instructional practices
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including English Language Learners and students with disabilities
• Communicate regularly and effectively with students' families to support academic and behavioral goals
• Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives to improve student outcomes
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress
• Support school culture and expectations, including routines, norms, and behavior systems
• Attend and contribute to grade-level, content-area, and school-wide meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school leader

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong content knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics
• Familiarity with project-based learning and STEM integration across content areas
• Effective classroom management strategies that support a positive learning environment
• Commitment to culturally responsive teaching and equity in education
• Ability to analyze student data and use it to improve instruction
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and participate in reflective practices
• Technological proficiency to enhance instruction and learning outcomes
• Passion for urban education and belief in the potential of all students

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field required; Master's degree preferred
• Valid Massachusetts teaching license in Elementary or Middle School with appropriate STEM content certification
• SEI endorsement required
• Minimum of one year of successful teaching experience preferred
• Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply
• Ability to pass a CORI/SORI and fingerprint-based background check
