INTERNAL POSTING Katonah -Lewisboro School District Announces the Following Anticipated Vaca ncy For the 202 6-2027 School Year Anticipated Eleme ntary Teacher Position Increase Miller Elementary School KLSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the probationary tenure track position of Elementary Teacher at Increase Miller Elementary School beginning September 1, 202 6. Qualifications: • NYS Certification required in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. • Experience Teaching Grades K -6 Responsibilities: • Exhibits knowledge of NY State Standards. • Fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment that prioritizes the social and emotional well -being of students and nurtures a sense of belonging. • Collaborates and communicates with colleagues, parents, and administration to best meet the needs of students. • Utilizes current educational research to inform instructional practices. • Implements culturally relevant practices into instruction ensuring that lessons reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all students. • Actively participates in a professional learning community (PLC), engaging in ongoing, collaborative professional learning to refine and enhance instructional practice. • Works with colleagues to analyze student data, share best practices, and implement research -based strategies that improve student outcomes.
