Qualifications:
Supervisory Certification
MA in Administration (preferred)
Successful classroom teaching experience
Supervises the district's curriculum and instruction
Supervises the necessary curricular revisions to maintain state and national compliance.
Supervises textbook (curricular resources) review and adoption.
Assist the Director of Curriculum and Instruction with yearly budget development (pertinent to assigned curricular areas).
Provides leadership and professional direction for administrative and instructional staff (where necessary).
Works collaboratively with building administration to maintain/implement continuity of instruction.
Attends necessary meetings (in and out of the district) pertinent to job description.
Works collaboratively with high school administration and guidance department when developing course criteria, writing course descriptions, and upcoming school year staffing.
Coordinates the criteria/placement of students (where necessary) pertinent to job description. Designs/administers district-wide Benchmark assessments
Analyzes test scores (local and state) to drive instructional/curricular decisions.
Meets with assigned subject area staff on a regular basis to promote departmental/district- wide horizontal and vertical articulation.
Works collaboratively with other administrative staff to ensure successful horizontal and vertical alignment of curriculum.
Observes assigned instructional staff using the district-approved evaluation model.
Researches and shares current trends and/or state department regulations pertinent to job description.
Maintains accurate records of individual Professional Development Plan (PDP).
Provides professional development where applicable to assigned staff.
Reviews and approves Student Growth Objectives (SGOs) for assigned staff.
Updates the Director of Curriculum and Instruction on a regular basis regarding assigned responsibilities.
Responsible for any other supervisory responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and/or Superintendent of Schools.
