Youth Court Intake Officer – Mississippi Statewide | $30.25/hour | Onsite

What You’ll Do
  • Review and process referrals submitted to Youth Court.
  • Conduct initial screenings to assess circumstances involving youth and families.
  • Gather relevant information and document findings accurately and thoroughly.
  • Assist in determining appropriate youth court intake actions in compliance with policies.
  • Communicate professionally with affiants, law enforcement, court staff, and community partners.
  • Maintain confidential records with integrity, ensuring data quality and compliance standards are met.
  • Input and manage data related to youth referrals and case activities.
  • Participate in training, coaching, and quality review sessions to maintain professional standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders to support youth and family needs.
  • Travel between assigned Youth Court locations as required.

What You Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Human Services, Counseling, Family Studies, or similar.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
  • Attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current automobile insurance, and a good Motor Vehicle Record.

Support Mississippi’s Youth Court reform efforts by serving as an Intake Officer supporting youth and families through a professional court process.
