AOI Operator (Swing shift)

An AOI Operator (Automated Optical Inspection Operator) sets up, runs, and monitors vision-based inspection equipment to check printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for manufacturing defects

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Equipment: Load and unload printed circuit boards into 2D/3D AOI machines.
• Verify Defects: Review machine-flagged anomalies to separate real defects from false calls.
• Check Quality: Inspect for soldering flaws, missing parts, wrong polarity, and misaligned components based on IPC Standards.
• Perform Maintenance: Clean equipment, handle basic troubleshooting, and make minor program adjustments.
• Report Issues: Log inspection data and notify engineering or quality control teams of recurring assembly errors.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to follow safety and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols.
• Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 25–50 pounds
