Our growing manufacturing company in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a detail-oriented AP Clerk to support our Accounts Payable team. The AP Clerk plays a key role in ensuring vendor invoices are properly matched to purchase orders and receiving documentation before they move through the payment process. Working closely with Procurement, Receiving, and vendors, the AP Clerk helps maintain the accuracy and efficiency of the accounts payable function in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This AP Clerk position supports the processing of approximately 1,000 invoices each month by identifying discrepancies, coordinating corrections, and ensuring documentation is complete. The ideal AP Clerk thrives in a high-volume setting, communicates effectively across departments, and enjoys solving problems.
Review invoices for discrepancies and identify missing or inaccurate purchase order or receiving information.
Partner with Procurement to resolve purchase order discrepancies and coordinate necessary PO revisions.
Communicate with vendors to obtain corrected or missing invoices when required.
Collaborate with Receiving and internal departments to resolve invoice exceptions for manufacturing purchases.
Monitor outstanding invoice issues and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
Maintain organized records of invoice documentation and vendor communications.
Assist with month-end invoice reconciliation and reporting activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable process.
Work in a collaborative manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
1–3 years of experience as an AP Clerk, Accounts Payable Clerk, or in a similar accounting support role preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment supporting approximately 1,000 invoices per month.
