Job DescriptionAP/CP General Surgical Pathologist with Medical Directorship Responsibilities - Arlington, TXAmeriPath in Arlington, TX is seeking a hospital-based pathologist with medical directorship responsibilities to serve at Arlington Memorial Hospital and USMD Hospital Arlington. Responsibilities: The position will handle a case mix that includes Surgical Pathology, both large and small resections/biopsies, Breast, GYN, GU, and Cytopathology. The position will rotate to cover frozens and on call coverage is expected. Cytopathology boarded candidates are encouraged to apply.Qualifications: MD or DO degree plus accredited pathology residencyMust be board certified in anatomic and clinical pathologyBoard certification in Cytopathology a plus2-3 years post residency experience desiredAbility to spend consecutive hours with continued focus, interpreting tissues and cellular preparations through a microscopeAbility to visually, audibly, and physically perform all job functionsMust hold valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in TX or be eligible to obtain licensureMust hold active privileges in facility where any inpatient work is interpretedStrong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operationsAbility to communicate with decision makers in the laboratory and companyArlington, Texas is a vibrant city located in the heart of the Dallas Fort Worth area. Physicians can expect a robust referral network, excellent air travel through DFW International Airport, professional sports, cultural attractions, and restaurants. Texas offers no state income tax and a good cost of living.
