Job Title: Anatomic & Clinical Pathologist – Surgical Pathology Focus

Overview
A well-established, Great Place to Work certified pathology practice invites applications for a full-time AP/CP pathologist. This is an opportunity to join a high-quality, collegial diagnostic group with state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative, team-oriented culture committed to diagnostic excellence and patient care, located in a beautiful town near metropolitan New York.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine and interpret tissue sections, body fluids, and secretions using light, electron, and fluorescence microscopy
- Diagnose disease from tissue, fluid, and other specimens and provide written pathology reports to treating physicians
- Consult with referring physicians on test ordering, interpretation, and clinical management
- Perform gross examination, dissection, and description of specimens
- Participate in intradepartmental meetings, proficiency testing, and quality improvement initiatives
- Contribute to education of laboratory personnel, students, and residents as applicable
- Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable state and federal regulations
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as needed
Candidate Qualifications
Required:
- MD or DO with completion of an approved AP or AP/CP residency
- BC/BE by the American Board of Pathology or American Osteopathic Board of Pathology
- Eligibility for applicable state medical licensure(s)
- Successful completion of pre-employment visual color discrimination testing

- Salary range: $300,000–$400,000, commensurate with experience and subspecialty training
