AP/CP Surgical Pathologist

Position Type: Full-Time

Practice Setting: Hospital-based Practice

Subspecialty Focus: Surgical Pathology Fellowship training preferred

The Opportunity:

Join a well-established private practice feel, offering a balanced workload. This group values a collaborative environment while pursuing diagnostic excellence and offering long-term stability.

Service Responsibilities:

  • covering services in one or more of the five Legacy hospitals in the Portland metro area

  • Signing out surgical cases in a semi-subspecialty sign-out model
  • Interpreting intraoperative frozen sections and rapid on-site cytology evaluations
  • Presenting at general and/or specialty tumor boards
  • Serving as CLIA Director for clinical laboratories
  • Covering call, equally shared among all pathologists

Candidate Qualifications

  • MD or DO with board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
  • Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology, Gynecologic Pathology, Cytopathology, or Hematopathology strongly desired
  • Strong computer skills and digital pathology skills is a plus
  • Eligible for medical licensure in OR and WA

  • Experience preferred, but recent graduates also considered

  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
