Accounts Payable Specialist (Automotive Dealership Group)

Location: Duluth, GA

Type: Full-Time | Onsite

A growing, multi-location automotive dealership group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its centralized accounting team. This role plays a key part in supporting dealership operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions for an assigned location.

This is a high-volume, full-cycle AP role where you will take ownership of the entire payables process for one dealership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, structured environment.

What You'll Do

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable for an assigned dealership location
• Review, code, and process vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness
• Obtain proper approvals and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Process payments including check runs and electronic payments (EFT/ACH)
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to address invoice and payment issues
• Assist with month-end close, including reconciliations and reporting support
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records
• Follow established daily, weekly, and monthly processes

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of accounts payable experience in an automotive dealership environment (strongly preferred)
• Experience handling full-cycle AP responsibilities
• Ability to manage high-volume workloads in a deadline-driven setting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication skills with both internal teams and external vendors
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
• Experience with dealership management systems such as Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK is a plus
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset

Work Environment & Schedule

• Full-time, onsite role based in Duluth, GA
• Standard business hours with a flexible start time window
• Participation in month-end close required, including:
  • Higher workload during the first few days of each month
  • Occasional overtime as needed
  • One half-day Saturday per month
