Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records while building strong vendor relationships. You'll play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments for a well-established company.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Process vendor and subcontractor invoices, ensuring accurate coding to the appropriate general ledger accounts and job cost codes.
• 
  
• Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation while coordinating approvals with project managers and field teams.
• 
  
• Prepare weekly check runs, ACH, and electronic payments, and reconcile vendor statements to resolve discrepancies.
• 
  
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9s, insurance certificates, and other required subcontractor documentation.
• 
  
• Support month-end close, AP reconciliations, and year-end 1099 processing while maintaining organized and accurate financial records.
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• 2+ years of accounts payable experience.
• 
  
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• 
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• 
  
• Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required.
•
