Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join an established organization in Oklahoma City. This position will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and working closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely and accurate payments.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of transactions.
Responsibilities
* Process and code invoices accurately and efficiently
* Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation
* Perform three-way matching and resolve discrepancies
* Prepare and process vendor payments
* Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable records
* Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
* Maintain accurate vendor records and financial documentation
* Assist with month-end close activities and accruals
* Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoices and payments
* Assist with maintaining accurate AP files and records
* Support accounting and administrative projects as needed
* Follow established internal controls and accounting procedures
Qualifications
* 2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
* Experience processing a high volume of invoices
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to research and resolve discrepancies
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Experience working with an ERP or accounting system preferred
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus
