- Contract: 6 months
- Work Style: Hybrid (2 days in-office, 3 days remote) at Cranberry Township, PA — or fully remote if you’re not near the Pittsburgh office
- Reporting Line: Senior Manager, Global Engineering Operations
A Day in the Life
Start your morning aligning scope, schedule, and cost baselines with key stakeholders. Midday, you’ll review Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics and cost forecasts, shaping decisions that safeguard contract profitability. In the afternoon, you’ll guide change management across engineering, supply chain, and partners—translating contract requirements into clear actions. You’ll close the day by updating process metrics and process maps so teams, customers, and partners remain fully informed of project status.
What You’ll Own
- Project planning: Author integrated project plans; develop scope, schedule, and cost baselines for AP1000 and nuclear plant construction initiatives.
- Execution, monitoring, and control:
- Assume overall responsibility for contract profitability.
- Acquire team members per department protocols; lead complex team structures with effective delegation.
- Manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and partner interfaces.
- Interpret and communicate project/contract requirements and approved changes using an integrated change management process.
- Prepare or oversee expenditure forecasts and progress projections—including EVM—to meet performance and financial reporting needs.
- Review expenditures for compliance with baselines and scope; promote teamwork and maintain project process metrics and process maps to ensure transparent status communication.
- Project closeout: Archive work across financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools; perform final quality assessment and report out; capture lessons learned, improvement opportunities, and risk avoidance strategies.
- Relationship leadership: Build strong connections with product line teams, customers, suppliers, and internal partners to drive successful outcomes.
- Continuous improvement: Identify, assess, and implement value-adding enhancements to project performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related technical field.
- 5+ years as a project manager delivering medium or high complexity projects to successful completion.
- 3 years in technical or engineering roles, or 2 years as a project manager.
- 6–10 years of project management experience in technical industries such as engineering, manufacturing, nuclear, or construction.
- Fluency with the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
- Proven ability to lead complex team structures; engage with senior stakeholders; analyze issues, establish facts, and make sound, complex decisions.
- Certifications: PMP (or equivalent) or PMP-eligibility; Project controls credentials (scheduling, estimating, earned value, risk) are a plus.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $75/hour to $100/hour.
