Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)

BG Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable Apartment Maintenance Technician for a 179-unit residential community located in Stoughton, MA. This role is ideal for a maintenance professional with strong appliance repair experience and a solid background in residential property maintenance.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in maintaining the functionality, safety, and overall condition of the property. This position requires hands-on expertise in diagnosing and repairing household appliances, along with performing general maintenance and unit preparation tasks in a fast-paced residential setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair gas stoves and other residential appliances

• Perform repairs on electric appliances (excluding stoves)

• Complete service requests and work orders generated by residents in a timely and professional manner

• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and identify root causes of defects or problems

• Conduct preventative maintenance throughout the property

• Execute the make-ready process for vacant units, including:

• Pre-move-out inspections

• Creating detailed punch lists of required repairs

• Completing all necessary maintenance to prepare units for new residents

• Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure adherence to safety standards

• Collaborate with the property team to ensure high-quality service and resident satisfaction

Qualifications

• Proven experience in appliance repair, specifically gas and electric units
• Strong maintenance background in a residential or apartment setting
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
• Experience with unit turns/make-readies preferred
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality and professionalism
