Apartment Maintenance Technician

Construction Mechanics Inc (CMI) is looking for full time Apartment Maintenance Techs for work in Akron. Must have a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Conduct regular property inspections to identify safety or maintenance issues
• Prepare units for move-in, including painting, repairs, and general turnover work
• Troubleshoot and repair maintenance emergencies as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop and storage areas
• Work collaboratively with property management and provide excellent customer service to residents
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies

Qualifications:

• Previous apartment, residential, or commercial maintenance experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
• Ability to use standard tools and equipment safely
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
