Operates independently within the defined scope of responsibilities.\n \nThe APeX Surgical and Anesthesia Services (SAS) team falls under the Health IT department, which is responsible for the maintenance and expansion of UCSF electronic health record (Epic) and related technologies. The APeX SAS Analyst position will report directly to the APeX SAS Team Lead/Supervisor and up through the Director of Clinical Applications.\n \nThe final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.\n \nYour placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.\n \nThe salary range for this position is $ 34.48 - $74.04 (Hourly Rate).\n \nTo learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/index.html\n \nRequired Qualifications\n\n Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.\n Certification: Epic OpTime, Epic Anesthesia, and Epic Phoenix certifications completed within 6 months of start date\n Two years of relevant work experience\n Working knowledge of clinical applications, systems, and functions, including development, implementation, user support, maintenance, and system testing and evaluation.\n Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems and develop multiple options for effective and timely resolution of issues and problems.\n Demonstrated interpersonal and customer-service skills to collaborate productively on a team and to provide training and support to clinical providers and staff.\n Detail-oriented, with demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, set schedules, and complete projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.\n Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communications, with the ability to convey technical information to clinical users in a clear and concise manner.\n Working knowledge of departmental systems and procedures for documentation and reporting, with the ability to perform tests, and to analyze, and interpret relevant data.\n Ability to work with senior staff and managers, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance.\n \nPreferred Qualifications\n\n* Clinical License of RN, MA or other Tech license/certification\n\n
