Position: API Developer Location: Schaumburg, IL Duration: 06 Months Rate: DOE
Sr. API Developer to work with MuleSoft or Azure platform components such as application program interface (API) Manager, Runtime Manager, Cloud Hub components, and Anypoint Studio to successfully integrate Zurich's set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications into other applications.
Specific duties include:
Working closely with the Business, other application teams and the Integration Architect to understand Zurich's business/application needs.
Creating and Supporting APIs for ZNA's mobile applications.
Understanding Business Requirements, performing impact analysis and assessing technical challenges/feasibility in achieving required business outcome.
Developing APIs using Mule Soft platform components including API Manager, Cloud Hub, Anypoint Studio and Any point MQ.
Testing and improving performance of the APIs in terms of response time, reliability and resource usage.
Troubleshooting complex production issues with APIs, identifying source of the issue and fixing/working with the appropriate team to get the issue fixed.
Serve as technical lead on projects to design, develop, test, document, and deploy robust integration solutions on the MuleSoft platform.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area. OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area.
Preferred Qualifications :
MuleSoft Developer certification is preferred.
4 years of experience working with:
Mule Soft API development and cloud hub and RTF environments.
Service design using RAML (with JSON) and ODATA.
Azure API development experience preferred.
Integration Architecture concepts, principles, and patterns to design API, Service Oriented Architecture, Batch Integration, and Restful JSON services.
Cloud-based technologies and integration to technologies hosted in Azure.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities on the team.
