Role Overview<\/span><\/b>

We are seeking an experienced Apigee Architect<\/b> to lead the design and implementation of enterprise API and microservices solutions, driving API strategy, governance, security, and cloud -native architecture. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Apigee Edge, Apigee X, Apigee Hybrid, GCP, and Microservices Architecture<\/b>, with the ability to provide technical leadership across large -scale digital transformation initiatives.<\/span>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

• Design and architect enterprise APIs using Apigee Edge, Apigee X, and Apigee Hybrid<\/b>.<\/span>
  <\/li>
• Lead API development, deployment, governance, and lifecycle management.<\/span>
  <\/li>
• Design and implement microservices -based architectures<\/b> using Java/Spring Boot and cloud -native principles.<\/span>
  <\/li>
• Architect and deploy API management and integration solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)<\/b>.<\/span>
  <\/li>
• Establish API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, SSL/TLS, mTLS, and threat protection policies.<\/span>
  <\/li>
• Define API governance standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks.<\/span>
  <\/li>
• Drive containerization and deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, and Apigee Hybrid runtime environments.<\/span>
  <\/li>
• Implement monitoring, analytics, logging, and performance optimization for APIs and microservices.<\/span>
  <\/li>
• Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and mentorship to engineering teams.<\/span>

  Required Skills<\/span><\/b>
  <\/p>

  • Strong experience with Apigee Edge, Apigee X, and Apigee Hybrid<\/b> architecture and API management.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Expertise in REST APIs, JSON, XML, OpenAPI/Swagger<\/b>, and API lifecycle management.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Hands -on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture<\/b>.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP)<\/b> experience, including GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, IAM, Monitoring, and Logging<\/b>.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Experience deploying and managing Apigee Hybrid on Kubernetes/GKE<\/b>.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Strong understanding of API security (OAuth 2.0, JWT, OIDC, SSL/TLS, mTLS).<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Experience with JavaScript, Python, or Shell scripting.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.<\/span>

    Preferred Qualifications<\/span><\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Google Cloud and Apigee certifications preferred.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)<\/b>.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Knowledge of event -driven architectures using Pub/Sub, Kafka, or RabbitMQ<\/b>.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring, Splunk, or ELK<\/b>.<\/span>

      • 10+ years<\/span><\/b> of software development and integration experience.<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • 5+ years<\/span><\/b> of hands -on experience with Apigee Edge/X/Hybrid<\/b>.<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Strong expertise in GCP cloud architecture, API management, microservices, Kubernetes, and enterprise integration<\/b>.<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Proven experience designing and delivering large -scale, secure, cloud -native API platforms on GCP and Apigee Hybrid<\/b>.<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Leadership mindset with the ability to build and scale cloud practices and mentor high -performing engineering teams.<\/span>
