Senior SDET – API Automation (RestAssured/JavaScript)
Position Overview
This role focuses heavily on automation, with an emphasis on API automation, automation framework development, and Agile in-sprint testing. The position is suited for an experienced SDET who can work as an individual contributor, apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and create or enhance automation frameworks.
What You'll Do
- Perform automation-focused testing as an SDET and individual contributor.
- Develop and execute API automation using RestAssured and JavaScript.
- Create and enhance automation frameworks using strong OOPS concepts.
- Support Agile testing with in-sprint automation.
- Work with Jenkins, GitLab, NodeJS, Allure Reports, Jira, Xray, and Confluence as part of the automation and testing process.
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to testing activities.
- Utilize knowledge and awareness of AWS CloudFront, Datadog, WAF, and vulnerability testing where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience, majorly in Automation.
- Strong API Automation experience using RestAssured and JavaScript.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, NodeJS, Allure Reports, Jira, Xray, and Confluence.
- Good OOPS knowledge and the ability to create/enhance automation frameworks.
- Agile Testing experience with In-Sprint Automation.
- Ability to work as an SDET and individual contributor.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Awareness of AWS CloudFront, Datadog, WAF, and vulnerability testing.
- Knowledge of GCP.
- WebDriverIO UI Automation experience.
- Playwright automation experience.
- Database automation knowledge.
- Insurance domain knowledge.
- Understanding of AWS CloudFront, Datadog, vulnerability testing, or WAF standards.
