This Assistant Project Manager role is a true "plug-and-play" opportunity for someone ready to step into complex, high-end commercial interior projects and take ownership from day one. You'll initially manage 1 project while ramping up to a full portfolio, working closely with senior leadership on sophisticated builds.

Description

• Lead multiple commercial construction projects, primarily focused on high-end interior buildouts and renovations
• Manage project lifecycle including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and execution
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery
• Oversee complex scopes including structural upgrades, MEP systems, and specialty integrations
• Maintain strict adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and key stakeholders
• Utilize tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project for project tracking and reporting

Profile

• 2-4+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer with a commercial General Contractor
• Proven experience delivering high-end interior or corporate buildout projects
• Strong understanding of complex renovation and construction processes
• Experience working in active commercial environments (office, legal, medical, or similar)
• Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project preferred)
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Local market experience in the Mid-Atlantic region strongly preferred
