APM Practice Lead

Job Title: Application Portfolio Management (APM) Practice Lead
Location: Hybrid in Plano, TX 
Job Type: W2 Contract - 6 months (possibility of extension)
Pay: $60-$71.40/hour
 
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an Application Portfolio Management (APM) Practice Lead to spearhead a greenfield enterprise initiative focused on building APM capabilities, governance frameworks, and application inventory processes from the ground up.
This is a highly visible role partnering with executive leadership, enterprise architects, product organizations, and technology teams to establish a centralized approach to application portfolio governance and lifecycle management.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise APM frameworks and operating models
• Establish application inventory management and governance processes
• Partner with teams supporting ServiceNow CMDB and application data management
• Lead strategic enterprise initiatives, process design efforts, and pilot programs
• Drive application lifecycle management, compliance, and portfolio oversight
• Work directly with executives and cross-functional stakeholders to align technology and business strategy
• Develop analytics, reporting, and insights around application portfolios

 
Required Skills, Education & Experience:

• 10+ years of Program, Project, Product Management, or Enterprise Technology Leadership experience

• Enterprise portfolio management, governance, or application lifecycle management experience
• Executive stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership
• Experience driving large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives
• Strong strategic planning, problem-solving, and organizational change management skills
• Bachelor's Degree

• Application Portfolio Management (APM)
• ServiceNow CMDB
• Application Governance and Asset Management
• Enterprise Architecture collaboration
• Banking / Financial Services experience
• AI-enabled development tools (AWS Kiro, PowerApps, Vibe Coding, or similar)
