Job Details:
- Provide cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery support Monday through Sunday with preferred 7 on/7 off schedule
- Monday-Thursday onsite coverage 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with on-call duties starting at 4:30 PM
- Friday onsite coverage 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call starting at 5:00 PM
- Weekend 24-hour coverage with approximately 4 hours onsite starting at 6:00 AM for rounding
- Daily rounding on all inpatients in ICU and stepdown units, managing new consults and discharges
- Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) procedures and train new APPs on EVH techniques
- First assist on surgical cases once familiar with surgeon routines
- Handle patient management calls, emergency department consultations, and hospital transfers
- Support specialties including cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, and heart failure management
- Manage 8-10 inpatient encounters per shift
- Must have cardiothoracic experience with PAs requiring EVH knowledge
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- Board certification required with minimum 30-day credentialing timeframe
