Opportunity:

Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery

Job Details:

• Full-time position working Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• 
  
• 26-week contract duration
• 
  
• Call rotation of 1 in 4 weekends, Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM, with rounding only (no elective cases), typically 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• 
  
• Part-time consideration requires a minimum of 2 weeks per month
• 
  
• Estimated 20 patients seen per shift depending on volume
• 
  
• Procedures required include endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH), surgical closure, and vascular cases
• 
  
• Support staff includes 2 MDs and 3 APPs in CT Surgery, and 2 MDs and 3 APPs in Vascular Surgery
• 
  
• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery required
• 
  
• Demonstrated proficiency in vein harvesting techniques and surgical closure required
• 
  
• Availability to cover nights and weekends on a rotational basis required
• 
  
• Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, active PA license, DEA, and Board Certified Physician Assistant
• 
  
• Licensure candidates will be considered
