NP/PA - Surgeon - Cardiothoracic

Job Details:

• Cardiothoracic Surgery PA position providing on-call coverage on a temporary basis until a permanent provider is hired
• 
  
• Schedule includes nights, weekends, and possibly weekdays with call coverage as needed
• 
  
• 100% inpatient, hospital-based practice setting
• 
  
• Adult patient population
• 
  
• Trauma Level 2 designation facility
• 
  
• Must be experienced in cardiothoracic surgery to support the heart team in surgery
• 
  
• Weekend coverage includes rounding on patients Saturday and Sunday with subsequent on-call coverage
• 
  
• Required duties include: Pre-Op Physical Exams, Suture Removal, Diagnosing and Treating Illnesses, Ordering and Interpreting Tests, Assisting in Surgery, Writing Prescriptions, Coordination of Care, Rounding, Chest Tube Insertions, and Endoscopic Retrieval
• 
  
• EMR/Documentation: EPIC
• 
  
• Temporary privileges available
• 
  
• Must hold active PA licensure in Pennsylvania
• 
  
• Board Certification, ACLS, and BLS required
• 
  
• Minimum 3+ years of cardiothoracic experience required - no new graduates
• 
  
• Provider must be local
